Acceptance of any quote and/or payment of a deposit will be taken as your acceptance of these terms and conditions in full.

1. Services
   Ridge Cap King (“RCK”) provides tiled roof restorations and maintenance including high-pressure cleaning, ridge cap repointing and rebedding, tile and valley replacement, and roof painting via a licensed painting contractor. We do not undertake major structural repairs or roof leak diagnostic services.
2. Estimates and Quotes
   Any verbal estimates or written quotes provided by RCK are based on the information provided by the client and the conditions reasonably observable at the time of roof inspection and quoting. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
   
   Hidden defects, structural issues, non-compliant works, or other unforeseen conditions not reasonably identifiable at that time may result in variations, additional works, or referral to other trades, where the required services fall outside RCK’s quoted scope, licensing, or operational capacity.
   
   Estimates are not binding and may be subject to change. Any works requested outside the scope of an accepted quotation constitute a variation and are not included unless agreed in writing.
3. Payment Terms
   Bookings over $1,000 are not confirmed until the deposit is received, and may be rescheduled if payment is not received within a reasonable time. Full payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise specified. Late payments may incur additional charges.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
   Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments by providing at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions and emergencies.
   
   4.1 Company Right to Suspend or Conclude Works
   RCK reserves the right to suspend or conclude works, prior to or during performance, where:
   – There is a breakdown in agreement as to scope, including where additional works are requested and agreement cannot be reached
   – The client does not provide reasonable cooperation or access
   – Inappropriate, abusive or unsafe conduct occurs
   – Circumstances described in Clause 2 arise which place the required works outside RCK’s quoted scope, licensing, or operational capacity.
   
   In such circumstances, RCK may elect to refund any deposit or amounts paid to date, less the reasonable value of works completed and costs incurred up to that point, and formally conclude the engagement without further obligation.
5. Warranties and Guarantees
   5.1 Maintenance and Repairs
   RCK offers a 5-year guarantee on all repointing, tile replacements, and valley replacements, covering defects in materials and workmanship. This guarantee is extended to 10 years for ridge cap re-bedding and repointing. This warranty does not cover damage caused by weather events, accidents, third-party works, structural movement, or improper maintenance. Any claims under this guarantee must be made in writing within 30 days of discovering the defect.
   
   5.2 Roof Leaks
   We specialise in tiled roof maintenance services as described in Clause 1. We do not provide roof leak diagnostic services or guarantee that our maintenance works will resolve existing leaks.
   
   Roof leaks can arise from a wide range of causes, including hidden defects, roof plumbing, roof carpentry, structural movement, weather exposure and other factors outside our control or scope of expertise.
   
   Where leaks are reported, we may inspect the roof covering and provide a quote for any maintenance works we consider appropriate within our scope of services. These works are quoted as roof maintenance only and may or may not resolve existing leaks. If leaks persist after completion of the recommended works, further investigation by a dedicated roof leak specialist may be required.
   
   If water ingress occurs immediately following maintenance works completed by us, we will return to inspect the workmanship and materials relating to those works. If no defect is identified in our workmanship or materials, further leak investigation will be the client’s responsibility.
   
   Partial repointing or isolated maintenance works are performed as limited roof maintenance only, and not as a comprehensive repointing or leak rectification service.
   
   5.3 Interference and Post-Works Access
   Warranties and guarantees do not apply to defects or damage arising from client access to the roof, third-party works, or interference with completed works after RCK has carried out the relevant services.
6. Liability
   RCK will take all reasonable precautions and exercise due care and skill to ensure the safety of clients’ property while providing services. However, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our services.
   
   6.1 High-Pressure Cleaning
   High-pressure roof cleaning may result in water entering the roof cavity through vents, flues, roof penetrations, or other openings. Minor water ingress is a normal and unavoidable risk of the process and, in rare cases, may cause ceiling staining, damage, or affect electrical items or equipment located within the roof space, including air conditioning components.
   
   Clients must inform RCK prior to works of any sensitive items, electrical equipment, or areas of concern within the roof space. While reasonable precautions will be taken where risks are identified, RCK is not liable for damage resulting from water ingress during the cleaning process.
7. Client Responsibilities
   Clients are responsible for ensuring that all necessary permissions and permits are obtained prior to the commencement of work. Clients must provide RCK with accurate information regarding the property and any potential hazards.
   
   7.1 Cooperation and Conduct
   Clients must provide reasonable access and cooperation to enable works to be carried out safely and in accordance with the agreed scope.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
   RCK reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services after any changes signifies acceptance of the new terms. For the most up to date version of our Terms and Conditions, please see our website.
9. Governing Law
   These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Western Australia, and any disputes relating to these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
10. Australian Consumer Law
    Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights that clients have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. Clients are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Clients are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
